Latvia hosts Nordic and Baltic defense leaders for regional security talks

Latvia hosts a regional security forum today and tomorrow, bringing together Nordic and Baltic defense committee leaders. The meeting focuses on the Baltic Sea region's security and allied cooperation. Participants will discuss defense policy priorities and strengthening cooperation. Reports will be delivered by Latvian military and defense officials, including the Commander of the National Armed Forces. The forum includes representatives from nine countries. This annual meeting, expanded to include Nordic nations and others since 2011, has been held since 1998.
