Lapse turns your phone photos into personal time-lapse films

Ghana-based Mina Logic has launched Lapse, an app that creates personal time-lapse films by aligning face photos from your phone's camera roll. The app transforms ordinary pictures into a short movie showing a person growing and changing over time. Lapse works by letting users select existing photos, then automatically aligning the subject's face from one image to the next. Users can reorder photos, adjust pacing, and add music. The app is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android, with all processing done on-device, meaning photos are not uploaded to servers. The app is part of Mina Logic's broader goal to become a major African app development company. It can be used for birthday films, school year retrospectives, or collections of a parent's photos, with the story depending on the user's chosen images.
