Lannion-Trégor halves composter prices to boost home composting

actu.fr (French) —

Lannion Trégor communauté is offering a 50% discount on home composters from October 1-30, 2026, to encourage composting and reduce household biowaste. The initiative aims to make composting accessible to more households. Wooden composters (150 or 400 L) cost €15 instead of €30, and plastic models (400 L) cost €12.50 instead of €25. Orders are placed online, with pickup at designated locations. The offer is limited to one composter per household, with renewal allowed every 8 years. Currently, 43% of households in the territory already compost their biowaste. The community hopes this price reduction will encourage more residents to participate, transforming kitchen and garden waste into useful compost for gardens.
