Landslides damage schools and police station in Haripur after heavy rain

Heavy rain triggered landslides in Haripur district on Wednesday morning, damaging schools, a police station, and a rural health centre while blocking a road, though no casualties were reported. The landslides struck multiple points on Amazai Road near Kalilaar village, disrupting mobility in Nara Amazai and Baitgali union councils. A school's boundary wall and room were destroyed, and the police station's wall and washrooms collapsed when the health centre's wall fell on them. A lightning strike also damaged a house in Dambra Laqab village, but the family escaped unhurt. Debris remained uncleared, and urban flooding was reported in several localities.
