Labour minister Tulip Siddiq receives free cricket tickets from firm linked to Bangladeshi MP

Labour minister Tulip Siddiq received two free cricket tickets from Teatulia UK, a company connected to Bangladeshi MP Kazi Nabil Ahmed, whose party is led by Siddiq's aunt. The tickets were for World Cup matches in 2019. The MPs’ register does not specify which matches Siddiq attended, but Bangladesh played New Zealand and Pakistan during that time. Teatulia UK has since been dissolved, and its links to Ahmed have raised questions about Siddiq's connections. Siddiq is under scrutiny for receiving properties valued at £700,000 and £650,000 from supporters of the Awami League. She has referred herself to a standards watchdog and maintains that all disclosures were made according to the rules.
