Kyoto firefighter drove emergency vehicles 81 times without a license

A Kyoto City firefighter drove emergency vehicles 81 times without a valid license for 96 days, including 59 emergency ambulance responses. The firefighter, a man in his 30s, reportedly did not realize his license had expired in December and continued his duties until discovering it himself and reporting it on April 6. No accidents occurred during the period of unlicensed driving. The Kyoto City Fire Department is considering disciplinary action pending a police investigation.
