Kramatorsk under fire: A city nearly emptied by relentless Russian strikes

Russian forces are intensifying attacks on Kramatorsk, a city in eastern Ukraine, aiming to make it uninhabitable through relentless strikes on civilian infrastructure. As of September 3, Russian positions are just over 16 kilometers away, with FPV drones constantly circling overhead. The city's streets are littered with debris from destroyed buildings, and multi-story facades show signs of massive fires. Despite anti-drone netting, Russian FPV drones continue hunting targets, while residents who remain try to maintain daily life, sitting outside despite the danger. Burned-out cars and spontaneous memorials to killed civilians are common sights. Ukrainian forces continue defending the city, where roses bloom and the national flag flies in the center. Journalist Yan Dobronosov reported having to take cover from enemy drones about ten times during his visit, noting the city is nearly empty and unrecognizable compared to before the war.
