Kota police mistakenly identify dead associate of fugitive during standoff

Kota police mistakenly identified a deceased man during a standoff with a wanted criminal. Initially thought to be Rudresh alias RDX, it was later confirmed that the body belonged to his associate, Pritam Goswami alias TT, who had taken his own life. Rudresh managed to escape the police encirclement and contacted an associate to inform them he was alive. CCTV footage showed him leaving the scene just before police arrived. Goswami had over 15 criminal cases against him. The confusion arose due to his disfigured appearance and Rudresh's belongings found at the scene. The incident is linked to a shooting at a betel shop on January 26.
