Knights' Ryder Boulton receives eight-game suspension for slashing

Ryder Boulton of the London Knights has received an eight-game suspension, effective retroactively from November 23. This follows a major penalty for slashing during a game against Saginaw, which also included a game misconduct. The Ontario Hockey League's Department of Player Safety imposed a four-game penalty for the slash and an additional four games due to Boulton's prior conduct history. He has already served one game of the suspension. Boulton is set to return to the lineup on December 15, when the Knights face the Kitchener Rangers. He will meet with the Department of Player Safety before his suspension ends.
