KMOX upgrades FM to improve Cardinals' broadcast range

KMOX will upgrade its FM broadcast for the St. Louis Cardinals' season opener by moving from 98.7 FM to WHHL (104.1) on March 24. This change will expand the FM coverage area significantly. The previous FM signal on 98.7 was limited to the immediate St. Louis area. The new 104.1 signal offers a wider reach and better sound quality. KMOX will still broadcast on 1120 AM, which has a broad nighttime reach. WHHL's hip hop and R&B format will transition to KMOX's sports programming following recent staff layoffs.
