Kipling residents express concern as two of three doctors plan to leave by January
Residents of Kipling are worried about healthcare access as two of their three doctors plan to leave by the end of January. The Saskatchewan Health Authority cited personal reasons for the departures, prompting concerns about the community's health and economic stability. In the past, Kipling faced a similar situation when two doctors left in June 2024. The SHA had expanded a virtual physician program to help during that time, which continues to support healthcare access in the area. The SHA is actively recruiting new doctors, including through a training program. Despite the upcoming departures, a qualified physician and a nurse practitioner will remain in Kipling, along with a new advanced authorized practice nurse to provide care.
