Kim Kardashian thanks L.A. D.A. for proposing resentencing of Menendez brothers
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has proposed resentencing Erik and Lyle Menendez, who have been in prison for nearly 30 years for murdering their parents. If approved, they could be eligible for parole in about six months. Kim Kardashian, a supporter of the Menendez brothers, expressed her excitement about the decision. She thanked Gascón for revisiting their case and credited Ryan Murphy's Netflix series for increasing public interest and awareness of the brothers' situation. Gascón plans to submit legal documents to request a sentence reduction. If a judge approves this, the California Parole Board will investigate, and a hearing will be scheduled for the brothers' potential release.
