Kim Ahtola elected new chair of handball club BK-46

Kim Ahtola has been elected as the new chair of handball club BK-46, taking over the role after the club had been without a chair since spring. Ahtola, from Karis, has served on the board since 2016, most recently as vice chair, and has been active in the club since 2014. He acknowledged the role is time-consuming but said he has a good team around him, noting few volunteers came forward. The club has been without a chair since Björn Siggberg left following a dispute over unpaid compensation to a female player. BK-46 now has a new structure with separate sections for juniors, women, and men, and faces ongoing financial challenges.
