KeyBank Center boosts event lineup with 30 non-hockey shows planned for 2024
KeyBank Center is seeing increased activity, with a projected 30 non-Sabres and non-Bandits events this year, up from 22 last year. November alone will feature 12 events, including five concerts, doubling last year's attendance. Pete Guelli, the new chief operating officer, aims to make the arena less reliant on hockey games. The focus is on enhancing the fan experience and attracting diverse events, including concerts and comedy shows, to boost revenue and downtown activity. Attendance has surged, with November's projected numbers reaching 175,000, compared to 80,000 last year. Guelli plans to continue expanding the event lineup, including potential NCAA basketball tournaments and more local acts, to further engage the community.
