Kerala partners with central PSUs for Rs 2,000 crore Vizhinjam seaport logistics plan

Kerala signed agreements with central PSUs for a Rs 2,000 crore logistics master plan at Vizhinjam International Seaport. The MoUs with Indian Oil, Container Corporation, and Central Warehousing will establish bunkering facilities, rail infrastructure, and a multimodal logistics park, aiming to boost the state's maritime sector. This initiative seeks to transform the port into an economic hub while ensuring public sector control over critical infrastructure, preventing monopolies and safeguarding national interests.
