Kerala aids KSRTC with ₹103.24 crore more

The Kerala government has approved an additional ₹103.24 crore in financial aid for the struggling Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). The funds include ₹73.24 crore for pension payments and ₹30 crore for other operational needs, according to Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal. This recent allocation brings the total government support for KSRTC to nearly ₹6,307 crore since 2021. This financial injection follows the announcement of a new insurance scheme for KSRTC employees and plans for full computerization of the transport utility later this month.
