Keir Starmer becomes PM, pledges to rebuild Britain

Keir Starmer became the new Labour prime minister, promising to rebuild Britain "brick by brick" and provide security for working-class families. Labour won 412 seats to the Tories' 121, with a record 71 seats for the Liberal Democrats. Turnout was around 60%, the lowest since 2001. Starmer's cabinet has the most state-educated and female ministers in history. Farage's Reform party won 14% of the vote.
