Keeseekoose First Nation offers financial planning workshop
Keeseekoose First Nation recently held a financial planning workshop for its members, ahead of a significant agricultural benefits settlement from Treaty 4. The workshop, organized with RBC bank advisors, aimed to prepare members for future financial opportunities. About 22 community members attended the session, where they learned about investments and budgeting. The initiative follows a previous land claim payout, which highlighted the need for better financial literacy among members. The community plans to offer more workshops, including options for urban members via online platforms. Leaders emphasize the importance of financial education to help members make informed decisions about their money.
