Kasganj launches sanitation drive to prevent communicable diseases

Kasganj district launched a special sanitation drive in Pithanpur village to prevent communicable diseases. Shallow handpumps were marked with red crosses, advising residents to test water quality before use. The campaign, led by Assistant Development Officer Panchayat Santosh Kumar, involved cleaning village lanes, drains, and overgrown bushes. Efforts focused on eliminating potential infection sources and preventing mosquito breeding in stagnant water. The initiative aims to raise awareness about hygiene and prevent diseases like dengue, malaria, and typhoid by promoting clean water usage and environmental cleanliness.
