Karnataka Congress leaders resign over Tanveer Sait's Cabinet snub

More than 1,000 Congress leaders and workers from Mysuru's Narasimharaja constituency resigned en masse on Tuesday to protest MLA Tanveer Sait's exclusion from Karnataka's expanded Cabinet. The delegation traveled to Bengaluru to submit resignations to KPCC president B K Hariprasad. The group, including former mayors, corporators, and party office-bearers, arrived in over 200 cars and was given a patient hearing. Hariprasad refused to accept the resignations, assuring that Sait's status and interests would be protected and that he would speak with Rahul Gandhi, CM D K Shivkumar, and former CM Siddaramaiah. Hariprasad endorsed Sait's loyalty and recalled his long association with Sait's late father, Azeez Sait, dating back 45 to 50 years. The protest follows Sait's own expression of anguish over being left out of the Cabinet expansion held on Monday.
