Karachi autopsy shows Mir Ali Raza was shot in the back and tortured

A fresh autopsy found Karachi businessman Mir Ali Raza was shot in the back and suffered multiple injuries, contradicting earlier suggestions that he died by suicide. An eight-member medical board exhumed the body Saturday before a magistrate, finding head and face injuries plus nasal and skull fractures suggesting possible torture. The police surgeon said cause of death awaits laboratory results. Raza, 25, vanished July 28 and was found dead the next day. His family disputed the initial suicide finding and has demanded the investigation team be replaced.
