Kappa Sushi adds Caramel Cinnamon flavor to its rice-based Shari Donut for autumn

Kappa Sushi began selling a new Caramel Cinnamon flavor of its "Shari Donut" on September 3, 2026, expanding its popular rice-based dessert lineup for the autumn season. The donut, made from domestic rice flour and fried in-store for a chewy texture, combines rich caramel sweetness with aromatic cinnamon. It is available in a two-piece set starting at 110 yen and a five-piece takeout set starting at 260 yen. The original Shari Donut, inspired by sushi rice, has been a hit since its launch, with the kinako flavor selling approximately 900,000 servings. The new flavor is marketed as ideal for autumn cafe time and family gatherings.
