Kansas restaurant owner kisses toddler, blows out her birthday candle; police investigate

A Kansas mother says a restaurant owner kissed her toddler daughter on the cheek and blew out her birthday candle during a party on Aug. 28, prompting a police investigation into a reported battery on a child. The incident occurred at Stearman Field Bar & Grill in Benton, Kan., where Cassie Berrios claims the man approached her 2-year-old from behind, kissed her near her lips, and then cursed at the mother when she confronted him. Video obtained by KAKE shows the encounter, and no arrests have been made. The restaurant confirmed the man is an "equity owner" and said it is taking steps to prevent such conduct, adding his actions don't reflect its 400 employees. The man reportedly owns A&M Management Group, which operates several restaurants near Wichita.
