Kankakee basketball team defeats Crete-Monee to improve record to 12-2
Kankakee High School's basketball team defeated Crete-Monee 65-42, improving their record to 12-2. Senior Eli Stipp led the team with 16 points, making all eight of his shots. Five players scored in double figures, showcasing the team's depth. Lincoln Williams, a top junior prospect, contributed 12 points and eight rebounds. Kankakee's balanced scoring has allowed multiple players to lead in scoring throughout the season. Coach Chris Pickett noted the team's growth from challenging nonconference games. Kankakee will face No. 2 Rich in an important upcoming game. The team aims to build on their experiences from previous close losses to ranked opponents.
