John Wick Prequel Game to Explore Baba Yaga's Origin Story

screenrant.com —

Saber Interactive's untitled John Wick prequel game will explore the Baba Yaga's origin story, filling in the franchise's biggest unanswered questions about the assassin's past. Set years before John's infamous Impossible Task, the game will show his transformation from Jardani Jovonovich into the feared Baba Yaga, revealing his earliest assignments and underworld relationships. Saber is developing it with Lionsgate, Chad Stahelski, and Keanu Reeves. The AAA, single-player, third-person action game features gun-fu combat and driving sequences, with Reeves providing likeness and voice. No release date is confirmed, though 2028 has been suggested, and it will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
