Jo Puccini departs ABC as investigation into sacked Four Corners reporter continues

ABC investigations and current affairs boss Jo Puccini is leaving the public broadcaster, announced as a deepening investigation continues into sacked Four Corners reporter Mahmood Fazal's work. Three stories by Fazal have been withdrawn over accuracy concerns, including two Four Corners episodes and a Background Briefing. Fazal rejected claims of fabrication, saying he stands by the integrity of his reporting; the ABC Ombudsman is reviewing. Puccini joined the ABC in 2000 and won three Walkley Awards. Her departure coincided with an ABC apology to Gina Rinehart over a Race Around the World segment.
