Jimmy Lai testifies for fourth day in Hong Kong national security trial

Jimmy Lai, a former media executive in Hong Kong, continues his testimony in a national security trial, now in its fourth day. He faces charges of colluding with foreign forces and distributing seditious publications under the 2020 national security law. Lai has denied allegations of using his media influence to sway foreign policies against Beijing. He also stated he did not compel his newspaper to create a sanctions list for the U.S. government. The defense will further question Lai about his social media posts from 2020 and his communications with former staff. The trial is being conducted by three High Court judges without a jury.
