Jewish Journal editor displays Hanukkah bear to counter fear and promote pride

Jewish Journal editor Jessica Tzikas decided to display an inflatable Hanukkah bear on her lawn this year after previously storing it due to fear. The decision comes amid rising antisemitism, with Tzikas wanting her children and other Jewish children to feel pride in their heritage and not be afraid to express their identity. Tzikas hopes other Jewish families will also display their Hanukkah decorations proudly, fostering a sense of community and visibility during the holiday season.
