Jaipur gang arrested for kidnapping via social app

Four gang members were arrested in Jaipur for kidnapping people through a social networking app. They invited their victims under false pretenses to extort money. The latest incident involved a young man from Pratap Nagar. The gang befriended him on the app and asked him to meet at a flat. Once there, they held him captive. The gang filmed an inappropriate video of the victim and threatened to share it unless he paid them Rs 1 lakh. When he said he could not raise that amount, they assaulted him and demanded whatever money he could provide. The victim reported the crime after he was released. Police are keeping the identities of the arrested individuals private until an identification parade is conducted.
