Jai Arrow to play 100th game for Souths against Roosters

Jai Arrow will play his 100th NRL game for the South Sydney Rabbitohs tonight against the Sydney Roosters at a sold-out Sydney Football Stadium, in what is expected to be an emotional occasion following his diagnosis with MND earlier this year. The NRL granted special dispensation for Arrow to make these final appearances, and he will start at five-eighth before being replaced by Cody Walker immediately after kick-off. The match follows the Rabbitohs' 42-22 win over the Titans, which secured their first finals berth since 2022, with players crediting Arrow's inspiration for the victory. Arrow, 31, previously led the side out as captain for his 99th game, where he was subbed off to appreciative applause. Teammates have described his nervousness before that match and the heightened emotions within the club, with Walker noting the team has learned to live with the diagnosis while drawing strength from Arrow's character.
