The tournament features NHL players from the U.S., Canada, Finland, and Sweden. Eichel highlighted the growing talent pool from the U.S. national development program, with many players on the roster being alumni. The tournament will take place in Montreal and Boston from February 12-20, replacing the traditional All-Star Game format. The U.S. team, led by experienced players like Eichel and Chris Kreider, aims to improve its international standing, having last medaled at the world championships in 2021. They will face a strong Canadian team featuring stars like Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby.
