IWK opens expanded perinatal clinic at Halifax's Richmond Yards

The IWK Health centre has relocated its Perinatal Clinic from the hospital to a new, larger community space at Richmond Yards in Halifax, opening Friday to provide more accessible perinatal care. The new clinic expands services with five additional exam rooms, an extra intake room, and enhanced pregnancy and diabetes spaces, staffed by nurses, physicians, nutritionists, physiotherapists, and social workers for primary and high-risk obstetrical care. The move is part of IWK’s effort to make routine care less overwhelming by offering it outside the hospital, with the Adult Infusion Clinic also relocated; the clinic remains referral-only, and affected patients have been notified.
