Italy and India discuss maritime cooperation during Navy officials' meeting in Mumbai

Italy's Vice Admiral Antonio Natale met with India's Vice Admiral Sanjay J Singh in Mumbai to discuss maritime cooperation and interoperability. This meeting is part of Natale's visit from November 28 to December 3, coinciding with the Italian Navy's training ship, ITS Amerigo Vespucci, in Mumbai. During the visit, Natale laid a wreath at a memorial honoring Indian naval personnel. The ship, on a world tour since July 2023, will visit over 30 ports before returning to Italy in February 2025. An Italian cultural showcase, Villaggio Italia, has been set up at Indira Dock to highlight Italian art and culture. The visit aims to strengthen defense ties and enhance diplomatic relations between Italy and India.
