Italian Navy's Amerigo Vespucci departs Mumbai for Doha after cultural visit

The Italian Navy's training ship, Amerigo Vespucci, has departed Mumbai for Doha after a six-day visit. This marked the ship's first stop in India, featuring events like film screenings and performances to enhance India-Italy relations. During its stay, the ship attracted many visitors, highlighting its role as a cultural ambassador. A farewell ceremony included performances by both Italian and Indian bands, attended by notable officials. The Amerigo Vespucci will visit 30 ports in 20 countries before returning to Genoa in 2025. Upcoming stops include Doha, Abu Dhabi, and several locations in the Red Sea region.
