ITA Airways expands U.S. routes with Airbus fleet in 2024 and 2025

ITA Airways will serve four U.S. destinations in November 2024: New York, Boston, Miami, and Los Angeles. Starting January 2025, it will add San Francisco and Washington, D.C. to its routes. Chicago and Toronto will follow in March 2025. The airline operates an all-Airbus fleet, using A330 and A350 aircraft for its U.S. flights. For example, it offers 14 weekly flights from Rome to New York on A330-900neos and A330-200s. The Miami route will increase from daily to nine weekly flights in March 2025. ITA Airways, founded in 2020, is Italy's national carrier and currently part of the SkyTeam Alliance. A potential acquisition by Lufthansa is under negotiation, which could lead to ITA joining the Star Alliance by 2026 or 2027.
