Israeli plan to target Hezbollah operatives with explosive pagers revealed in report
A Washington Post report reveals new details about an Israeli plan to target Hezbollah operatives using explosive pagers. The operation, developed by Mossad over nearly a decade, culminated in simultaneous explosions across Lebanon last month. Mossad began inserting booby-trapped walkie-talkies into Lebanon in 2015, later upgrading to pagers with hidden explosives. These devices were disguised as Taiwanese products to avoid suspicion, and Hezbollah unknowingly purchased nearly 5,000 of them. On September 17, Hezbollah operatives received a message prompting them to open encrypted communications, triggering the explosions. Additional blasts occurred the following day from walkie-talkies, resulting in casualties among users and bystanders.
