Ishan Kishan joins Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹11.25 crore in IPL auction

Ishan Kishan has joined Sunrisers Hyderabad after being auctioned for ₹11.25 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Mumbai Indians initially tried to retain him but withdrew when the bidding reached ₹5 crore. Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals also competed for him. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya praised Kishan in a video, calling him the team's "pocket dynamo." He highlighted Kishan's positive impact on the team and expressed sadness over his departure. Kishan thanked MI and its fans for their support during his time with the franchise. Kishan played for Mumbai Indians from 2018 to 2023, scoring 2,325 runs in 89 matches. He has also represented India in 61 matches, scoring 1,807 runs. His best IPL score is 99, and he has been a key player in the league since his debut in 2016.
