iRobot launches updated Roomba models with advanced features

iRobot is launching five new Roomba models, replacing almost its entire fleet except for the Combo 10 Max. The new models feature LiDAR navigation, rotating mop pads, and a fresh design, aiming to compete more effectively with brands like Roborock and Ecovacs. The new Roombas will have improved navigation and cleaning capabilities, including advanced AutoWash docks that clean and dry mop pads. The design has been updated to a geometric style, making the robots more visually appealing and distinctive. iRobot has also revamped its naming system for clarity, introducing categories like Roomba, Roomba Plus, and Roomba Max. The new models will have a suction power of 7,000Pa, which is competitive but lower than some premium options.
