Irish dance and traditional music take the stage at Tharros in Cabras
Ireland's National Dance Company will perform "Rhythm of the Dance" Friday at Tharros archaeological theater in Cabras, bringing world champion dancers and live traditional music to the ancient seaside venue. The two-hour show, part of the fourth "I Giganti dell'Arte" festival, combines traditional Irish roots with contemporary choreography and modern staging. Performers include champion dancers, musicians, and live singers, taking audiences through eras, rhythms, and traditions of Ireland. Created in 1998 for a three-week U.S. tour, "Rhythm of the Dance" has since reached over seven million spectators in fifty countries. The seaside Tharros stage underscores a meeting of Irish culture and local heritage.
