An Iranian diplomat has reportedly abandoned his post in Vienna and is seeking asylum in Switzerland for himself and his family. Gholamreza Derikvand, Iran's chargé d'affaires, is said to have left his diplomatic duties. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has not officially commented on the situation. This follows a similar incident in January where another Iranian official at the UN in Geneva also sought asylum in Switzerland.
