Iran Air suspends all flights to Europe due to EU sanctions
Iran Air has suspended all flights to Europe due to new sanctions imposed by the European Union. The airline informed passengers via SMS that it can no longer secure landing permits at European airports. The EU's sanctions target seven individuals and organizations, including Iranian airlines, in response to allegations of Iran supplying missiles to Russia. Iran Air is the only Iranian carrier affected, as it operates flights to eleven European destinations. Passengers have reported being stranded abroad following the cancellations. Other airlines have also limited flights to and from Iran amid ongoing tensions in the region.
