IPlanet boosts Italy's electric vehicle charging infrastructure

Electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Italy has grown significantly, with a 32% increase in charging points in the last year, now exceeding 50,000. This growth reflects a shift towards electric mobility. IPlanet, a company formed in April 2024, is supporting this transition by deploying ultra-fast charging stations and developing digital services. They aim to make electric vehicle use easier, including for longer journeys, with over 600 charging points planned by the end of the year. IPlanet's approach includes an app for trip planning and charging management, along with investments in renewable energy and service station upgrades. This aims to build confidence in electric mobility and make it a practical choice for more drivers.
