Iowa father kills family of six in Muscatine before suicide

A father killed his wife, three children, and two other relatives in Muscatine, Iowa, before taking his own life. The victims were identified as Lesa McFarland, 51, Ryle McFarland, 20, Mark McFarland, 16, Ryan McFarland Jr., 13, Dakota Whitlow, 32, and Austin Harris, 29. The shooter was Ryan Willis McFarland, 52. The community is mourning the loss of the six victims, including two students who attended local schools. Vigils and memorial services have been held to honor their lives.
