Intempus gives robots human physiology for better interaction
Intempus, a robotics company, aims to give robots human-like physiological states to improve human interaction and AI training. This will allow robots to better understand and communicate with humans. The company, founded by 19-year-old Teddy Warner, will retrofit existing robots with emotional expressions using data like sweat, body temperature, and heart rate. Intempus has already secured partnerships with seven enterprise robotics companies. Warner, a Thiel Fellow, believes these physiological states are crucial for robots to achieve spatial reasoning and become more predictable. He plans to hire and test the technology with humans in the coming months.
