Inmate who escaped Harris County processing center is recaptured in Houston

Travis Earl Bryant II, an inmate who escaped from the Harris County Joint Processing Center on January 28, has been recaptured. He surrendered at a Houston police station, according to the sheriff's office. Bryant, 47, escaped while waiting with other inmates for release. He was not in handcuffs at the time. He had been arrested on January 22 for a misdemeanor warrant related to controlled substances.
