Indonesian coffee giant Kenangan Coffee, with more stores than Starbucks locally, opens its first Taiwan branch. The new store at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi A11 features its popular Palm Sugar Signature Latte, which sold 100,000 cups in 24 hours in Indonesia. It officially opens April 10th with a buy-one-get-one-free promotion for three days. Kenangan Coffee, founded in 2017, is a Southeast Asian coffee unicorn valued over $1.2 billion. It plans to open two more locations in Taiwan by mid-May.
