Indiana's huge solar farm construction now powers forward

A massive 1.3-gigawatt solar farm in northern Indiana has entered its largest construction phase, poised to power approximately 200,000 homes. The Mammoth Solar project will boost Indiana's solar capacity by over 20% upon completion, with three major phases now underway. Bechtel is managing the design, engineering, and construction, including the installation of 2 million solar panels. The project is expected to create over 1,200 jobs and will incorporate agrivoltaics, allowing for livestock grazing and crop cultivation alongside energy production.
