Indian Railways clarifies viral video of man claiming to ride on train wheels in Jabalpur
A viral video shows a man emerging from under a train in Jabalpur, claiming he traveled 290 kilometers on the wheels. Indian Railways has clarified that the man was likely hiding under the train, not riding on it. The incident involved the Danapur Express, where staff noticed unusual movements under a coach. After stopping the train, the man was found and handed over to the Railway Protection Force. He reportedly said he could not afford a ticket. Railway officials stated the claims of traveling on the wheels are false, emphasizing it is impossible to hide on a moving train. The Railway Board also announced that Northeast Frontier Railway will restore pre-COVID train numbers starting in January.
