India tests Guided Pinaka Weapon System to enhance Army firepower

India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully tested the Guided Pinaka Weapon System, which can now strike targets up to 75 kilometers away. This multi-barrel rocket launcher enhances the Indian Army's firepower significantly. The recent trials included three phases focusing on range, accuracy, and rate of fire. The Pinaka system has evolved from an initial range of 37.5 kilometers to its latest version, which can launch 12 rockets in 44 seconds, covering a large area. French military officials have shown interest in the Pinaka system for their own needs, highlighting India's growing position in the global defense market. The successful trials pave the way for the system's induction into the Indian Armed Forces.
