India prepares to enhance military capabilities with new long-range guided rockets
India's armed forces will soon receive new long-range guided rockets, known as Guided Pinaka, capable of hitting targets over 75 km away. This development follows the completion of validation trials and aims to counter similar systems from China. The rockets, designed by DRDO with private sector partners, will enhance India's military capabilities. Production can be scaled up to meet domestic and international demand, including an order from Armenia. Future plans include extending the range to 120 km and over 200 km. The guided Pinaka rockets will be compatible with existing launchers, providing flexibility for deployment. This comes as Pakistan tests its own long-range system, highlighting the regional arms competition.
